Not all Asian parents make their kids practice piano for 4 hours a day and lock them out of the house when they don’t get straight A’s, but that’s definitely not unheard of, either. The stereotypical Asian parent seems to care only about grades and constantly critique their kids.

My mom is definitely not like the stereotypical Asian mother everyone likes to generalize. Yes, some aspects of it are true but that’s because of cultural differences.
